Arrests Made for Murder After Unconscious Man Dies

Two people have been arrested on suspicion of murder following the death of a man who was found unconscious in Liverpool.


According to Merseyside Police, the man, in his 50s, was discovered on Spellow Lane in Walton on Saturday and later died in the hospital. The exact cause of death has not yet been determined.


A 34-year-old woman from Kensington and a 63-year-old man from Walton were taken into custody for questioning and have since been released on bail. Additionally, a 53-year-old man from Knotty Ash, arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent, was also released on bail.


Detective Chief Inspector Stephen Ball urged anyone with information to come forward. “Spellow Lane is a busy road, so I appeal to anyone who was in the area around 9:00 a.m. GMT and may have witnessed something or has information that could assist the investigation to please contact us as soon as possible,” he said.
