Dock Road Closed Following 'Industrial Accident' That Left Man Injured

Police have cordoned off a major road near Liverpool's docks after a man was injured in an industrial accident. Regent Road in Bootle was closed this afternoon (Thursday) following the incident, with the cordon set up just past the junction with Lower Bank View.
Photos from the scene show a truck within the cordon, its windscreen shattered and surrounded by broken glass and debris. A large pile of bricks, believed to have fallen from a wall on Regent Road, is scattered across the road. Several police vehicles, including one parked on Lower Bank View, were spotted near the cordon.
Merseyside Police confirmed their attendance following reports of a man being injured in an industrial accident. The incident was reported around 2:20pm on Thursday, October 17, at a private industrial site at the junction of Lower Bank View and Regent Road.
