Teenage Boy Seriously Injured in Wirral Park Stabbing
A 13-year-old girl has been arrested following a stabbing that left a 15-year-old boy seriously injured in a Wirral park.
Merseyside Police said the incident happened at around 5pm on Sunday in Ridgewood Park, Pensby. The boy sustained a puncture wound to his back and was taken to Alder Hey Children’s Hospital in Liverpool, where he remains in a serious but stable condition.
The teenage girl has been arrested on suspicion of wounding and assisting an offender. Police confirmed that another suspect fled the scene shortly after the attack.
Detectives are searching for a second individual described as a white teenage boy with long hair, who was wearing a white and blue jacket at the time of the incident.
Officers are urging anyone who witnessed the attack or has CCTV, dashcam, or mobile footage from the area to contact Merseyside Police to assist with the investigation.
