Liverpool John Lennon Airport (LJLA) is celebrating back-to-back wins this week. Just a day after reporting its busiest month ever—616,000 passengers in August—the airport has been named one of the UK’s top-rated airports in the latest Which? survey.
Though Exeter Airport narrowly edged LJLA into second place this year, Liverpool still leads all major UK airports in passenger satisfaction. The survey, which polled almost 6,000 travellers, looked at 10 areas including check-in, security, baggage, seating, and shops.
LJLA earned a 78% customer satisfaction score, with passengers praising its quick, hassle-free security, efficient check-in, and friendly staff. Recent upgrades include state-of-the-art security equipment and new food and drink options in the departure lounge.
Chief Executive John Irving said: “It’s a tremendous achievement to once again be recognised by the travelling public. Our busiest summer ever, combined with this survey result, reflects the hard work of our staff and partners.”
