Man's body discovered in Merseyside park

A man's body was discovered in Hesketh Park, Southport, early this morning. Merseyside Police were alerted just before 5:30 am today (Friday) after receiving a report about a man in his 50s found dead in the park.
Authorities have confirmed that the man's death is not being treated as suspicious, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. Police believe the deceased to be Latvian and are working to locate his next-of-kin. A file is being prepared for the coroner.
Merseyside Police remain at the site, where a police cordon is in place. This morning, several police vehicles and a scientific support unit were present at the scene.
