Merseyrail Trains Canceled Due to 'Dog' on Tracks

Several Merseyrail train services have been canceled after a dog was spotted on the tracks. The train operator announced that the Ormskirk and Hunts Cross line is experiencing disruptions due to animals on the railway between Maghull and Town Green.


Train services to Hunts Cross and Ormskirk may face cancellations or delays. According to Merseyrail's website, the 9:51 a.m. train from Ormskirk to Hunts Cross will now start at Liverpool Central. A passenger reported being on an Ormskirk-bound train around 10 a.m. when it was halted at Maghull due to the dog on the tracks. Disruptions on the Ormskirk and Hunts Cross line are anticipated until 11:15 a.m. today, October 28.


A Merseyrail spokesperson stated, "If you have been affected by today's incident, you may be entitled to a refund or compensation. We apologise for any inconvenience caused."
