New Owner Promises Liverpool Hotel Will Reopen Soon

A city centre hotel that closed last year is preparing to welcome guests again in the coming weeks under new ownership.

The Duke Street Boutique Hotel, which went into administration in 2024, was placed on the market earlier this year for £2.25 million. Nine offers were reportedly received, with the successful bid coming from the Golding Group, although the sale price was not disclosed.

The hotel, which originally opened in 2021, features 30 en suite rooms, including three with access to a courtyard, and is located close to Liverpool’s vibrant city centre.

Golding Group has confirmed plans to reopen the property shortly, adding it to their existing hospitality portfolio. The new owners are positioning the hotel to resume operations quickly, aiming to attract both local and visiting guests.

Industry experts noted strong demand for limited-service city centre hotels, citing the quick sale and competitive bidding process as evidence of Liverpool’s robust hospitality market.
