Merseyside Police have issued an appeal following a robbery and serious assault in Bootle on Monday. At approximately 10:15 PM on October 21, emergency services were called to Linacre Lane after reports of two injured teenage boys near the roundabout.
A 17-year-old boy suffered serious head injuries, while a 19-year-old sustained minor injuries in the incident. Police have confirmed that CCTV and other inquiries are ongoing this morning. Linacre Lane from Fernhill Road to Southport Road remains closed as investigations continue, and authorities are advising the public to avoid the area. Photos from the scene show a large section cordoned off.
Inspector Ted Barr stated, "Our initial inquiries indicate that this was a violent robbery during which an electric bike was stolen, leaving one of the victims with serious injuries. We believe there were witnesses present and are eager to speak with them as soon as possible."
"If you were in the Linacre Lane area around 10 PM last night and witnessed this incident or saw a group of youths on bikes, please come forward and share any information, including dashcam, CCTV, or doorbell footage. Even a small detail could be crucial in helping us identify those responsible."
