A man and a woman have been arrested following a stabbing in Liverpool’s Old Swan area.
Emergency services were called to Moscow Drive at around 11:10 BST after reports of a man being injured. The 50-year-old victim suffered wounds to his arm and face and was taken to hospital for treatment, police said.
A 54-year-old man from Liverpool has been arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent, while a 76-year-old woman has been held on suspicion of perverting the course of justice.
Detective Inspector Neil Dillon of Merseyside Police said:
“The use of knives has devastating consequences — not only for victims and their families, but also for those who choose to carry and use them.”
He urged anyone with information or CCTV footage to come forward.
