A Liverpool venue featuring a ‘hidden’ rooftop bar has recently undergone some changes. The Zodiac Lounge, a Turkish charcoal grill restaurant and shisha lounge, is situated on the rooftop of a building between Seel Street and Fleet Street in the city center and opened its doors in 2017.

The venue boasts a covered rooftop equipped with heat lamps for winter warmth and a sun terrace with a removable roof for summer enjoyment. The Turkish-inspired menu includes dishes like hummus, chicken kebabs, lamb kofta wraps, roasted vegetable pizza, halloumi options, and desserts such as baklava and banoffee sundae.

Originally, the secluded nature of the Ropewalks venue led staff to provide maps for customers trying to locate it. The rooftop setting was a major draw for the owners, who aimed to create a summer holiday atmosphere with their menu, cocktails, and shisha offerings.

Under new ownership, the venue has partnered with another Turkish restaurant in the city to revamp its menu. Yunus Emre Uğur, the new owner, expressed excitement about taking over this vibrant location on Seel Street. He mentioned that they have incorporated their expertise from the award-winning Turkish restaurant Akasya on Bold Street into the food offerings, leading to some menu changes.

The Zodiac Lounge has also introduced various weekly offers, including two-for-one cocktails from Sunday to Thursday between 4 PM and 9 PM. Many original staff members have been retained, and the venue continues to offer a wide range of shisha. The team is now looking forward to the festive season in this vibrant city. Zodiac Lounge is located at 13-21 Seel Street.
